About
About TorontoSearchLab: who we are and how we play
TorontoSearchLab helps lawful adult businesses get found in search, with Toronto as home ice and the rest of Canada as the wider league. We work remotely, and we handle local, national and technical search, including English and French sites, inside the rules that apply to adult businesses in Canada.
The starting line-up
- Canadian law first
Federal criminal law, anti-spam rules, competition law and provincial privacy law shape every plan.
- Same view for all
Search engines see exactly what an unverified visitor sees.
- Honest listings
Real premises, real prices, real reviews.
- Named sources
Figures appear next to the law, regulator or publication they come from.
- Plain reports
A written monthly summary of the work done and the results, good or bad.
Who plays, and who sits out
On the roster
- Sexual wellness and adult retail, in store or online
- Nightlife venues holding the right licences
- Membership and dating services that verify age
- Wholesale suppliers and distributors
Not on the roster
- Escort services and anyone advertising sexual services
- Sites that avoid age checks or other legal duties
- Requests for fake reviews, fake addresses or bought links
A new practice, stated plainly
Launched in 2026, the practice has no borrowed logos or quotes to show; any client story will appear only with written consent. You also won't find a Toronto street address, since there is no office to put one on. Our prices are on the pricing page, our reasoning is in the insights, and the rules we work within are summarized in the Canada guide.
Our playbook
- Law first, rankings second. We confirm which rules apply to your business before suggesting any page.
- Canada, not a copy. Canadian spelling, dollars, taxes and delivery, and French where your customers need it.
- Tickets, not slides. Each finding explains why it matters and how your team can confirm the fix worked.
- A watch on Ottawa. We follow Bill S-209 and tell you in plain words if anything changes.
Our source sheet
We rely on primary sources: LEGISinfo and the Library of Parliament for Bill S-209, the CRTC and the Fight Spam pages for CASL, the Competition Bureau and Competition Tribunal decisions for pricing and reviews, Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information for Law 25, the Office québécois de la langue française for the language charter, and Google's own documentation. Each topic on our reports page names its sources and the date it was revised.
Our first shift with you
After the free site review, we spend the first two weeks on access and a map of every page: open or gated, English or French, indexed or not. The next two weeks turn the findings into tickets, starting with anything that carries legal risk, and agree which pages to build first. You end the month with a written baseline and a plan for the season, matched to one of the three periods on our pricing page.
Where we stop
We do not give legal opinions, write production code, run age verification or promise positions in Google. We do tell you plainly when a rule may affect your site, write changes precisely enough for your developer to make them, help you compare age-check providers, and report results honestly, including months when nothing moves. If a request would put your business on the wrong side of Canadian law, we say no and explain why, then suggest a lawful way to reach the same goal.
Questions
Do you have an office in Toronto?
No. We work remotely, with Toronto as our main market. The company behind the practice is named in our terms of service.
Can you work in French?
We plan and set up French pages and their technical signals. Translation and French copy are done by qualified translators, either ours on request or yours.
Why not show client results?
TorontoSearchLab opened in 2026, and we only publish results with written permission. A free site review is the fairest way to judge the work.
Free site review
Start with a clear look at your site
We check how search engines and people in Canada reach your site, what your age checks and French pages mean for search, and send back the first fixes, in writing.
